Maple Leaf Stables, founded in 1990, is located in a beautiful valley in Penn Valley, CA. Owned and operated by John and Cathi Mayo, Maple Leaf Stables offers a wide variety of equine services, from boarding and training, to colt starting and riding lessons for novice to advanced riders.

Events and clinics are held year round in our four arenas. Cattle are available for cutting practices, beginning cattle work and team penning clinics from March to October. Upcoming events can be found on our events page.

We pride ourselves on providing our clients with quality services. Health and safety for you and your animal is our greatest concern. Our qualified staff is always here to help you with your questions and concerns. Our goal is educate our clients in all aspects of western riding, training and equine management.
